Who we are

My name is Sarah Stone, and I’ve been raising dogs for most of my life. Our journey began in the 1970s when my grandparents started breeding sable and white collies (like Lassie). Growing up on a farm in Steele, AL, animals were a central part of my life—whether it was chickens, cows, horses, geese, or more. My absolute favorite was always our precious puppies! My mom and I worked together to raise our dogs, continuing the family tradition by keeping two sweet collies from our family line.

Today, I’m a labor and delivery nurse and an OB instructor at Samford University’s nursing school. Helping bring new life into the world and building families brings me so much joy. Along with my husband, Tyler, and our son, Shepard (2), we’re excited to share a little extra joy from our family to yours through our beloved dogs.

Our family also includes our Bernedoodle, Murphie, and our rescue dog, Indy. In our free time, we enjoy hiking at Oak Mountain, walking around the neighborhood, spending time with our small group, and indulging in good food.

Make Great Memories

At Sunny Meadows Bernedoodles, we believe that bringing home your new Bernedoodle should be a joyful and memorable experience. As the breeder of your new family member, it’s our top priority to ensure that every step of this journey is smooth and positive. We focus on socializing your puppy early on and raising them in a clean, nurturing environment. Our goal is to make the transition as seamless and enjoyable as possible for you and your new companion!
